A lot of us including myself, are pleasers. I want to make everybody happy. I don’t want anybody upset with me but we can’t operate in this way.

We do have to have perspective on things.

And the essence of perspective is that there’s gonna be two sides: someone’s gonna love it and someone’s gonna hate it.

For me, the hunger is wanting to do awesome things, wanting to do really cool, creative things that people haven't seen before.

So at a certain point I started to just be like “Well, I’m not gonna care as much about what people think, I do what I think it's right”
