Each photo has an interpretation key that can be more or less attentive.
Let's try to direct our gaze to the key points:
If I look at the photo, I will simply notice an athlete doing cable crossovers and a bench on the opposite side with a barbell.
If I interpret the photo from a FUNCTIONAL perspective, I will notice:
A machine that occupies very little space.
A machine that can be used from both sides.
On one side, there are two adjustable pulleys that allow a multiplanar training by choosing the ideal anchor point height for a variety of exercises limited only by the imagination and technical preparation of the performer or trainer.
With a bit of imagination, once I have raised the anchor points (as they are now), I can insert hooks from the front into any hole, placing the barbell at any height and perform numerous free weight exercises.
At the top, there's a pull-up bar with 7 different hand positions where I can both perform pull-ups and anchor resistance bands, rings, or suspension trainers.
On the other side, I see a Smith machine, a guided barbell that can be anchored at 14 different heights. At the bottom of the sliding tubes, there are safety systems, also adjustable, that support the barbell in case of accidental falls.
I also notice an adjustable bench that can be used on both the Smith Machine side and the cable/free weight side. The 24 bench adjustments significantly increase the possibility of performing exercises at different angles.
If I interpret the photo from an AESTHETICS perspective, I will notice:
Matte black paint that gives the entire machine an aggressive and cool look.
There are red-colored cables never seen before on a machine. This is Dyneema, the same cables used in the America's Cup by the Luna Rossa - Prada racing yacht. 10 times lighter and 7 times stronger than a steel cable. Extremely flexible compared to a normal steel cable, allowing for a fluidity in use like never before.
There is a 120kg weight stack on each side.
I see attachments for resistance bands that can be mounted on both the Smith machine and the weight stack itself, increasing muscle tension and creating an incredible variation in standard workouts, especially for athletes.
On the Smith machine side, I notice a lot of stainless steel, both in the sliding tubes and in the supports that hold the barbell. I can be sure that the moving parts will never be attacked by rust and will keep the machine intact for many years.
